As writers it can be tempting to footnote all of our uncertainties and give disclaimers to make sure our creative decisions aren't perceived as mistakes or oversights. However, I think it's important to allow our work to speak for itself and take full ownership of our choices.

Feedback from fellow supportive writers and keen readers will come if necessary (for example, I would have commented on the adult language switch even if you hadn't flagged it) and the intentions and nuances of your work will shine through in any well-written piece (this piece did a great job of taking us through Timmy's many complex emotions and the backstory of his day, as well as clearly stating his moral dilemma about stealing).

Your writing balances clarity and complexity beautifully and with mastery, just own your decisions with confidence :)

Links of ore rest on your collarbones
Bangles line your wrist
Jewels sparkle in your ears
Snug rings encircle your fingers

They shine and glimmer
Yet fail to compare with the priceless beauty
Within the wearer

The basket of diamonds inside your mind
The sparkle of the gem that is your heart
How much more does that greatest jewel inside you shine?
